Looking for ways to help nature?

Whether you are looking for ways to help nature and improve your local area, learn new skills, meet people, or boost your health and wellbeing.

There are lots of groups and organisations in Cheshire and Merseyside who would love for you to join them and play your part in growing The Mersey Forest.

Volunteer at Bold Forest Park

A group meets every Tuesday 10am-2pm in Bold Forest Park, St Helens. Please get in touch if you would like to join in.

The group focuses on conservation work, including woodland and grassland management, tree planting, and heathland and peatland restoration. It works across sites in Bold Forest Park, including Bold Moss North, Griffin Wood and Queen Elizabeth II Royal Mail Woodland.

Join a group

There is a thriving volunteer network in Cheshire and Merseyside, with many groups and organisations caring for their local green spaces and woods. There are always lots of activities going on to get involved with, including tree planting, coppicing, apple picking, and recording wildlife.
